Mata Nui receives some blows that would've made him at least a little bit dazed, but he actually uses them to his advantage. Mata Nui wears the Mask of Life, so he shouldn't be able to die. Just like Vezon when the toa Inika knocked him into the lava.

My point is that Mata Nui cannot die in battle, so what is the point of fighting him?
